Silence

The most uncanny sound that's known to man,
Is that which not a single ear can hear.
With elegant simplicity it can,
Toll out a pensive state which leads to fear.
And though the strength of it can potent be,
Only to those who listen does it show,
Straight through its nothing, where the mind can see,
That which without it one wold never know.
And though our world with noise forever teems,
It often helps to take a step away;
Hear the great wisdom which the silence screams,
And then one finds a better choice to say.
But though it is a fearsome tool to use,
Against well spoken word, silence will lose.
